Key Words:

To foster the deep integration of transportation and the Internet and drive the development of intelligent transportation, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the Ministry of Transport issued the *Implementation Plan for Promoting "Internet Plus" Convenient Transportation and Intelligent Transportation Development* last August. To promote innovation in "Internet Plus" traffic management, the Ministry of Public Security has accelerated the construction of an integrated Internet-based traffic safety service and management platform. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has vigorously promoted innovation in the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) by launching the *Action Plan for Innovation and Development of the Internet of Vehicles (2015–2020)*, thereby accelerating the development of IoV and autonomous driving technologies. Currently, my country faces a parking space shortage exceeding 50 million spots. The NDRC has issued a policy encouraging major cities to raise funds for parking lot construction through the issuance of special municipal bonds, aiming to effectively alleviate parking difficulties. Plans call for the addition of 30 million parking spaces nationwide in 2016, an initiative expected to drive an investment volume of 3 trillion yuan.

A massive intelligent transportation industry chain—encompassing transportation services, traffic management, the Internet of Vehicles, and smart parking—is set to take shape. This signals that my country's intelligent transportation industry is entering a "golden decade" of development.

Against this backdrop, the 6th Shenzhen International Intelligent Transportation and Satellite Navigation & Location Service Exhibition (2017) is set to be held grandly from June 23 to 25 in Shenzhen, a city renowned for technological innovation.
