Key Words:

In recent years, the international counter-terrorism situation has become increasingly complex and severe, with frequent terrorist attacks and accidents worldwide. Public safety and counter-terrorism have become a global focus. The analysis and identification of monitored targets using professional technical means has evolved from reactive observation to proactive prevention.

Currently, my country's security market is maintaining rapid growth. From 2011 to 2016, the security market maintained double-digit growth for five consecutive years, reaching a scale of over 500 billion yuan in 2016. This 500 billion yuan output value is distributed across security equipment, security engineering, and operation and maintenance services, with the security equipment market accounting for approximately 190 billion yuan. In terms of product form, video surveillance remains the core area.

The number of urban video surveillance cameras in my country still lags significantly behind that of developed countries, with uneven geographical distribution and vast growth potential. Using the number of video surveillance cameras per thousand people as an indicator, Beijing, currently the city with the highest camera density in my country, has only 59 cameras per thousand people, equivalent to only 80% of the average level in the UK and 60% in the US.

Second- and third-tier cities have even lower camera coverage. According to incomplete statistics, second-tier cities in my country have 50,000 to 100,000 cameras, while third-tier cities have fewer than 50,000. In terms of camera density, the density in second- and third-tier cities is far below 10 cameras per 1,000 people. Looking at the distribution of my country's security market, the output value is concentrated in economically developed regions such as East and South my country, while the output value in Northeast, Southwest, Northwest, and Central China is relatively low, indicating significant potential for future penetration rate increases.

Driven by the continued growth of the global security video surveillance market, the security video surveillance lens market has developed rapidly in recent years and is expected to maintain stable growth in the future. Data shows that the global security video surveillance lens market sold 63 million units in 2011, increasing to 122 million units in 2015, with a compound annual growth rate of 17.97%. It is projected that the global security video surveillance lens market will continue to grow steadily in the coming years, with global sales volume and market value expected to reach 165 million units and approximately US$630 million by 2020.

The security industry has experienced two waves of high growth over the past 10 years: from the most traditional analog monitoring, where security system users were limited to government departments; to digital monitoring, where the number of security users increased, the scale of monitoring expanded, images were digitally stored, and resolution entered the standard definition era; to high-definition monitoring, where the market capacity continues to increase, video surveillance systems are integrated with user business systems, and the future will show a trend of digitalization and intelligence.
